SNOW AND MORE SNOW

Stocking up on our wood pile

Harvey helping Jay feed the cows

We have had a crazy winter. More snow than they have seen in a long time. We are finding out how crazy it is to live in extreme conditions. In the last storm we got we had about 3ft at least of snow and we could not get into our house because the blades could not come and push the snow to where we could get to the house. Jay ended up hiking in and getting my dads back hoe and got over to the house. The electricity was off for 6 days and that means we had no water and luckily we have a wood stove that heats ok. When Jay got to the house he found that our house had flooded and the carpets were all wet. We thought that our pipes had frozen because of how cold it was with no heat. To make a long story short once we got all the carpets pulled up and we realized that it had snowed so much and then rained and snowed on top of that again and built up against the house that it had just run in through the walls. Luckily we did not have broken pipes. So now we are trying to put our house back together and trying to keep up with the snow. But we keep telling ourselves that it will be a good spring!

Oh what a mess! The snow has been crazy in Flag too. The kids are sitting here while I read your blog and they are all begging to go to Jay's ranch.
