HARVEY TURNS THREE

Harvey with our friend Shared. More animals hooray!
Dinosaurs!!

Yes its a centipede cake

Harvey turned three on November 3rd. We had a little party for him and his only request was that I make him a centipede cake. I really don't know why it wasn't a snake or some other animal but for weeks before every time I would ask him what kind of cake he wanted he said a centipede so here is my best effort to make one. Harvey got a whole tool box full of animals, worms, frogs and dinosaurs along with a few trucks. He is also learning how to play his new memory game and has beat Jay and I a few times. When ever people called to tell him Happy birthday he would say first Happy Birthday and the cutest thing when we were eating breakfast that morning he blessed the food and said " thanks for the food and thanks for me Harvey" it was so cute Jay and I were trying not to laugh.

HALLOWEEN

Trick or treating

Harvey was a crocodile for Halloween this year. He was so excited to go trick or treating and to carve our pumpkin. We went to a ward party and he saw someone that was dressed up like captain hook and started attacking and chasing her and saying tick tock, tick tock ( like on peter pan) it was really funny. Any way he growled at every door we went to and tryed to scare people. It was a lot of fun.

JAY'S ELK HUNT

Jay went elk hunting in New Mexico twice this fall. He guided a hunt at his dads place and got a really nice bull, then he drew a tag and hunted at my dads place with some of his friends. This is the bull he got himself. He had a great time.

Its been a while since I have had a chance to post some pictures and news. I will try and catch everyone up on what happened this summer up till now. In July Jay and I took a trip to Brazil for three and a half weeks. We had a great time seeing people from Jay's mission and a lot of our friends. We spent most of our time in Recife and surrounding areas in the north and then on our way home spent a few days in Rio. It was so awesome to see everyone and be there for our friend Marcelo's wedding. Thanks to both of our good parents that took care of Harvey while we were gone. When we got home from Brazil we headed to Lake Powell for a Platt family reunion. I had never been and it was so fun. Harvey was in the water from the time he woke up till dark. Everyone had fun swimming, riding on the boats, fishing, wake boarding and of course cliff jumping. After over a month of traveling we headed back to Albuquerque. School was already started and we moved once again into a new place and real life hits. I guess all good things have to come to an end and we were glad to be home.

We had a great time camping, eating, dancing/all the activities and enjoying great company. Thank you Aunt Louise and family for putting on a great reunion.

LITTLE BOYS

LOOK MOM IT'S A FROG
MOMENTS BEFORE THE HEAD WENT INTO HIS MOUTH
HOW ABOUT A RIDE ON MY BIKE?
HIGHER DAD
HARVEY'S FAVORITE SPOT AT GRAMMIES HOUSE
Well Harvey came running in the house yesterday ecstatic saying there are baby snakes and I caught a frog. Sure enough he had the frog in his hand and he took me out side where he had the hose running and worms were crawling everywhere he said look baby snakes. The poor frog was carried everywhere that day, took a swim in Harvey's little pool, took a spin on Harvey's bike, put in his mouth and I looked out there once and Harvey was bent down and trying to pick it up with his teeth, gross I know but what do you do. Harvey let him down and he escaped into our neighbors yard. (Lucky frog) Harvey was so sad but he was sure there were more to find so he got over it.

Mothers Day/ B-Day

My mom and I on Mothers Day
Flowers Jay gave me
Well we had a great weekend. Jay finished his finals on Thursday yeah!! Then flew to Phoenix for his brothers graduation so Harvey and I headed to St. Johns on my birthday, when I got there my mom had a massage lined up for me so I went and got a massage and then we got something to eat and Casey surprised us and showed up that night. The next day we got my sister in law to watch Harvey and my mom and I got our hair done then Casey meet us for lunch. That night we had a little b-day party. My mom spoiled me! We had a great time. Saturday I helped my mom at the flower shop delivering flowers and my mom made this beautiful arrangement for Jay to give me. Mothers day we spent with both moms and got to see all of the family it was great to be home and have a little break from the everyday life. What a great mom I have and I hope that I can be as good of a mom as she has always been to me!!
